Spirit In Action: Just Say Yes!Written by Natasha J. Rosewood
“Bubbles?” I asked. “What do you mean?” While Maggie, one of my psychic students, vacillated between waves of gloomy negativity followed by bouts of Dorothy-from-Kansas elation, she was to her credit determined to grow spiritually. Having had an ice-cap for a mother, an alcoholic father and then losing her adored sister at 12, Maggie had definitely proven herself to be a survivor. I had to admire the girl. Maggie’s constant battle with herself was I sensed the result of so many “no” messages in her early years. Now those no’s were firmly implanted in her subconscious and had compounded into a litany of disappointments. Apart from my constant efforts to empower her positive thinking, I was happy to learn she was taking a proactive approach.“I’ve learned this new technique for manifesting which involves envisioning bubbles and saying a lot of 'Yeses.'” Maggie chuckled. “Yeses?” I repeated, now curious. As a spiritual healer I am always seeking new techniques to empower my clients to clear their negative blocks.  After more than thirty years of psychic readings, I know that our subconscious beliefs attract or repel good or bad people and events into our lives. The subconscious does not judge. That level of our mind just does what it’s told . . . by us and what we accept as true. Even in a healthy childhood environment, the number of times we are told “No!” can exceed the amount of “Yeses” by as much as 75%. Of course, our caretakers were, for the most part, trying to protect us and our innocent curiosity from the many dangers that lurked in an un-childproofed world. And if those parents were dysfunctional, that percentage was probably closer to 95%. The sad part is that this no-mentality stays with us in our subconscious programming and later, as if on automatic pilot, rules our lives. No wonder then that as adults we talk ourselves out of our own happiness. Saying “No” to what we want has become an entrenched and automatic habit. Of course, sometimes saying "No" is the smart thing to do. I won’t insult you by stating the obvious. Saying no—or yes—can also meet with opposition from the very people you want to please. Sticking to your guns often requires courage. The only person that should care about your authentic response, however, is you. If someone else doesn’t like your decision, then that is their concern. Whether you are saying yes or no, identify whether your response is out of habitual conditioning which says, “Oooh, better not. Too scary,” or an intuitive instinct which urges, “This is scary but it could be for my highest good.” Isn’t it far better to have inscribed on your tombstone “Here lies the courageous one” rather than “Here lies a no-show.”?  In my psychic coaching practice, it pains me to see how many of my clients stubbornly refuse to give themselves permission to say Yes to what is not only good for them but also essential to their spiritual health. Psychically, I can sense their deeper conflicts when considering the choices between passion or routine, creativity or staying safe, freedom or the same old habits. When I identify my clients’ silent dreams and abilities, the tears flow. My standard joke is that I should buy shares in Kleenex. But how many more of us are automatically saying “no” to our dreams without even realizing it? Long before teachings like The Secret were published, I have been able to manifest people, things and events easily including a brand new car and lump sums of money. In my experience, the three essential elements which make the difference between manifesting or not manifesting are a) weeding out the “no’s from the subconscious b) making the decision that it will happen and c) trusting that we deserve that which we are manifesting.Â

“Great, I’m doing my bubbles,” Maggie responded when I asked her how life was treating her. There was indeed a different grounded quality in her voice that I hadn’t heard before.Â
